The Etheridge Foundation is honored to make a $40,000 grant to our allies Heroic Hearts Project in support of their next veterans retreat. Along with the retreat grant, we’ve made a $4,000 Root Relationship Contribution to Indigenous-led ayahuasca biocultural conservation projects.

Etheridge Foundation Advisor Greg Mech convened a special gathering hosted by our partners UC Irvine on February 20, in support of our shared project: creating a Center for Transformative Healing of Opioid Use Disorder.

The event featured a fireside chat with Melissa Etheridge and a thoughtful panel discussion with Etheridge Foundation Executive Director Anna Symonds, and UCI Deans Jan Hirsch and Bill Maurer.

Via a donation to our allies the Indigenous Medicine Conservation (IMC) Fund, the Etheridge Foundation has contributed $5,000 in support of the fifth Indigenous Ayahuasca Conference.

The ICEERS ibogaine study in Spain, to which the Etheridge foundation awarded our very first grant, has released some preliminary research results.

The Etheridge Foundation is collaborating with the University of California Irvine (UC Irvine) to create the University’s first Center for Transformative Healing of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

Our shared goal is to establish a first-of-its-kind research center dedicated to pioneering plant-based medicine and psychedelic therapies for OUD.

The Etheridge Foundation, in partnership with our ally ShineMaker Foundation, is proud to announce our grant to Usona Institute in support of their groundbreaking research on 5-MeO-DMT, a promising compound with potential therapeutic applications for PTSD, substance abuse disorders, and various other mental health conditions.

In concert with the launch of our Giving Circle, the Etheridge Foundation held a special forum and dinner on Oct 24 at the beautiful Irvine Barclay Theatre, in partnership with our friends at UC Irvine.

This was a truly magical evening, where supporters of the Etheridge Foundation and UC Irvine gathered with open minds and hearts to hear about how we can bring transformative healing to one of America's most devastating epidemics: the opioid crisis.
